What is HTTP and HTTPS?
HTTP stands for Hypertext Transfer Protocol, and tells the browser how to transfer information over the web.
HTTPS stands for Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure - this tells the browser to transfer information in an encrypted form. HTTPS is optimized for transferring sensitive information.

What does Farmigo use?
Your Farmigo links will work with either prefix - HTTP or HTTPS.
However, once a member reaches a page where payment information is being entered (i.e. the Pay step of sign-up or the Make Payment account link), the page will automatically use HTTPS to transfer payment information in an encrypted form.
There is not a way for members to enter their payment information via a non-encrypted link.
We will always send you your links with an HTTPS, and the links found under General Settings --> Member Useful Links will also have the HTTPS prefix.
Note that if you use HTTPS links, members may get a message that says something like, "Your connection to www.farmigo.com is encrypted. However, this page includes other resources which are not secure."
This message may appear because of HTTP links included on the site like images, policy links, or links to external websites. Linking to non-sensitive HTTP sites will not effect the security of information that a member enters on an HTTPS site.
