How do I delete or unassign a location?
If the Location has never been usedYou can take the following steps to delete a location if no member has ever recorded a delivery at that location for the current season:
Before deleting a location: |
- Make sure that any Location Exceptions set up for that location have been set back to the default for all items in the Subscription Exceptions tab of the locations page before you delete the location. If you do not do this, you will receive an error message that says "Unable to delete [Location Name]. Pickup Site is referenced by a Share/Option item"
- You will also need to make sure that no member is assigned to the location before you delete it.
If the Location has been used
If the Location has been used, i.e. a delivery to that location is recorded under the History tab for at least one member, that location cannot be deleted from your system for that season in order to maintain the integrity of your historical reports. If you try to delete a location that has been used instead of unassigning it, you will see an error message that says something like: "Unable to delete [Location Name]. Pickup Site is referenced by a Subscription and a History Item".
In order to no longer offer sign-ups at this location, or to remove it as a visible choice for members, you must unassign the location from it's route:

- Make sure that no members are assigned to the location (from the Member's page, set the Location filter for that location)
- If no members are assigned to the location, open the location page in the dashboard
(You can use the search bar at the top to find it by changing "Member" to "Location") - Click the Edit button in the upper right corner
- Select "Unassigned" from the Routes field
- Save changes
